Daniel Jose Older
Daniel Jose Older is an American author of urban fantasy and young adult novels. He writes the Bone Street Rumba series. Older is a vocal proponent of racial diversity, and as such, includes characters of different races as protagonists in his works. Prior to becoming a writer, Older worked as an EMT in New York City, while writing as night. He considers himself an outsider who entered the world of writing in order to get his work out there and have it mess with people, throwing things into a tailspin.
