Rory Clements
Rory Clements is a British author of historical mystery/spy thriller novels. He writes the John Shakespeare series. Prior to becoming a novelist, Rory had a long and successful newspaper career, including being features editor and associate editor of Today, editor of the Daily Mail‘s Good Health Pages, and editor of the health section at the Evening Standard. He counts many writers among his influences, including Robert Harris, Graham Greene, Emily Bronte, James Ellroy, Rex Clements (his late great-uncle), Ian Fleming, Georgette Heyer, Frederick Forsyth, John Buchan, Cormac McCarthy, John Steinbeck, Gore Vidal, Sebastian Faulks, Anya Seton and many others. Rory now writes full-time in Norfolk, England.
