Blotto, Twinks (or Blotto & Twinks) is a series of historical whodunnit mystery novels by British author Simon Brett. Set during Edwardian Times, “Blotto” is handsome and not very bright, while his beautiful sister “Twinks” has a much better head on her shoulders. The siblings are related to royalty. The series is light-hearted and humourous in nature.
Simon Brett began his Blotto, Twinks series in 2008 with the novel Blotto, Twinks and the Ex-King’s Daughter. The reason for the comma in the title is because all of the book titles begin with “Blotto, Twinks and the…”. The series is currently ongoing. Blotto & Twinks Synopsis: In Blotto, Twinks and the Ex-King’s Daughter by Simon Brett, a former princess and daughter to an exiled king has been kidnapped and ducal family honour says that she must be rescued. The Dowager Duchess tasks her son, the Right Hon. Devereux Lyminster (aka “Blotto”) with the job of getting her out. Unfortunately, although he has looks, guts and honour, he doesn’t have the brains that his sister “Twinks” does. So Blotto heads off with his chauffeur Corky Froggett in to Mitteleuropia where the ex-king’s brother may have taken the ex-princess Etheline. Will they be able to rescue her or will they meet their doom at the hands of King Vlatislav?
