Fletch is a series of comedic mystery novels by American author Gregory Mcdonald. Irwin Maurice Fletcher is a journalist and a former marine. The series was loosely adapted into the film Fletch that starred Chevy Chase, which was followed by a sequel film called Fletch Lives. The series spawned two spin-off series – Flynn and Son of Fletch.

Gregory Mcdonald began his Fletch series with the title novel, published in 1974. The series concluded in 1986 with the prequel novel Fletch, Too.
