Affleck To Adapt New Lehane Novel
It appears that Ben Affleck will be going back to his Boston roots with a film adaptation of Live By Night by Dennis Lehane.
Not only will Affleck be starring in the film, but he will direct, write and produce (through his Pearl Street studio). Affleck also directed the film adaptation of Lehane’s Gone, Baby, Gone in 2007.
Live By Night is a gangster novel, which has Joe rise up through the ranks of organized crime in the twenties. Think a mix of Boardwalk Empire and Goodfellas.
