Classic Media has secured the rights to Noddy, the popular British children’s character created in 1949 by Enid Blyton. Noddy joins such properties as Lassie, Where’s Waldo and Postman Pat. Classic Media purchased the property from Chorion.

Noddy has appeared in over 250 episodes, including the latest series, Noddy in Toyland, which airs in 100 countries. The Enid Blyton book series has sold more than 250 books in past 63 years.

Earlier this year, Chorion sold 64% of the stake in Agatha Christie‘s estate, including Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. They’ve also unloaded Mr. Men, The Octonauts and The World of Beatrix Potter. They still hold the remainder of the Enid Blyton estate.
