With the hit television show Game of Thrones, author George R.R. Martin has signed a new two-year deal with HBO to develop new shows. However, his fans are not too happy about the announcement.

What’s the problem? They want more books.

The first three books in the series were released in rapid succession. However, Martin has slowed down dramatically since then. Infact, some are even worried that he won’t be able to finish the series on his own – two more of which are planned.

This isn’t complete unfounded, especially in the fantasy genre, as Robert Jordan passed away before he finished The Wheel of Time series and Brandon Sanderson had to finish it (just last month).

GRRM fans are also hoping for an adaptation of his Wild Cards anthology series.
