After a so-so reaction to The Casual Vacancy, J.K. Rowling is going back to where her bread was buttered – children’s books.

She told an audience at the Cheltenham Literature Festival that the next thing she write will be for children and that she already had a number of ideas.

She didn’t say much other than that, but she did say that it would be for kids younger than her Harry Potter books.

Rowling has also written several bedtime stories, but they were tailored specifically for her kids. “They are tailored very much for my children, so don’t expect to see those being published anytime soon.”

And for anyone interested in her thoughts on Fifty Shades, she says she hasn’t read any of the books, but encouraged readers to read the books if interested.
