Cassandra Clare and Th3rd World Studios is releasing her urban fantasy series The Mortal Instruments in graphic novel format. The graphic novels are being released on the digital platform comiXology, which is available on the iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, Windows 8 and the web.

“The Mortal Instruments is an incredibly successful and engaging series of books; we are very excited to bring this series to a new audience through this collaboration with Cassie and comiXology,” Th3rd World’s Michael DeVito said.

“The Mortal Instruments series has a passionate fan base who care greatly about this wonderful series so we have been working hard to remain as faithful to the source material as possible,” adds Co-Publisher Jon Conkling.

The series will be adapted by writer Mike Raicht (Dark Shadows, G.I. Joe) with art from Nicole Virella, colours from Jeremy Mohler and lettering from Steve Wands.

City of Bones #1 is available as of September 26th through comiXology. The issues will then be released monthly.
