Another Stephen King novel is getting an adaptation. This time it’s Misery, and this time it’s the stage.

Misery was adapted to film by Rob Reiner, starring Kathy Bates and James Caan. The screenplay was written by William Goldman, who is also writing the stageplay adaptation.

The play will debut in late November at the Bucks County Playhouse in Pennsylvania. The location suggests that it is a developmental run, at just 11 performances running from November 11 till December 8. The production will be directed by Will Frears.
