American Assassin was the 11th book in the Mitch Rapp series, and took place prior to any of the other Mitch Rapp books, covering Mitch Rapps entry to the CIA, and his first mission.
The latest book in the chronicles of Jack Reacher is entitled The Affair. The Affair takes place back in 1997, in what is apparently Reachers last mission before he leaves the military.

Jack Reacher is the fictional and infamous “drifter” character. Written by Lee Child, the former Military Police Major Jack Reacher travels all over the United States, via bus or hitchhiking. As he never got to see much during his time in the military, Jacks aim is to see everything there is to see throughout the United States. British author Lee Child, whose real name is Jim Grant, is famous for the series of books featuring Jack Reacher. Vince Flynn was an American author, most famous for his series of books featuring Mitch Rapp, the counter-terrorism specialist working for the CIA. Vince Flynn’s first book was the self-published Term Limits, which he wrote while working as a bartender.
Term Limits is the only Vince Flynn written book to not feature Mitch Rapp, although it did contain many characters that would feature in his later novels. (more…)
Mitch Rapp is the creation of author Vince Flynn. Mitch is a counter-terrorist operator working for the CIA. In the early days of eBooks, Amazon had been pricing their Kindle versions of novels at $9.99. Publishers were none-too-pleased with this, as they felt it would make the books less valuable. Once Apple began to offer publishers the ability to raise their price points to $14.99, Amazon is now having to go that same route.
Publishers are now looking to sell “enriched” eBooks with special features (like a DVD). Hachette is looking to sell an enriched version of David Baldacci‘s Deliver Us From Evil for a price of $15.99. This will include deleted passages not found in the regular book, research photos, an audio interview with Baldacci and photos of Baldacci writing. Hachette is working alongside Apple to design books for the iPad.. (more…)
