Maxine Morrey Synopses: The Christmas Project by Maxine Morrey is a standalone novel. When professional organizer Kate Stone takes on the job of decluttering Michael’s house before Christmas, she expects a straightforward task. What she doesn’t expect is the surly, sharp-tongued man who greets her at the door. Gorgeous he may be, but Michael also happens to be the grumpiest client she’s ever had – and if he weren’t her best friend’s brother, Kate would have walked away.
But beneath his frosty exterior, Kate begins to see a different side of Michael: a man still reeling from heartbreak, struggling to piece his life back together. While she’s more used to tidying cupboards than untangling emotions, Kate can’t resist turning him into her personal Christmas project.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Kate and Michael must decide if they can put the past behind them, open their hearts, and maybe even discover that love is the best gift of all.
Around the World with My Ex is a standalone title by Maxine Morrey. Aspiring travel writer Mia Walker has always dreamed of turning her passion into a career, so when she lands an assignment covering a romantic destination wedding – complete with turquoise seas, white-sand beaches, and a fairy-tale castle in Scotland – she knows it could be her big break.
But there’s one complication she didn’t count on: the photographer joining her is Hunter Scott, the man she left heartbroken five years ago… and her former fiancé.
As they journey from sunlit shores to misty highlands, old memories resurface, along with a spark Mia thought she’d extinguished forever. And with someone else’s happily-ever-after on the horizon, Mia begins to wonder if she might have walked away from her own.
In The Best Little Christmas Shop by Maxine Morrey, globe-trotter Lexi isn’t used to spending December at home, but this year she’s swapped far-flung adventures for icing gingerbread men and tying ribbons in her family’s cozy little Christmas shop. Nursing a broken engagement, she’s sworn off romance – for now, at least.
But everything changes when single dad Cal Martin steps through the door, with his wide smile and an irresistible five-year-old son who reminds Lexi what the magic of Christmas really feels like.
As the snow falls and mistletoe beckons, Lexi finds herself drawn closer to Cal. Yet she knows George deserves stability, and she isn’t sure she’s ready to risk her heart again. Will she walk away, or discover that sometimes the greatest adventure of all is love?
