Madeline Baker is an American author of historical and western romance novels. She writes the Reckless, Time Travel and Lightning series, and also writes paranormal romance as Amanda Ashley. Madeline was born and raised in California. She married her high school sweetheart and they had three sons. Madeline began writing while her children were still at home, but didn’t let anyone in on what she was doing while her kids were in bed and husband at work. Finally, she let a friend read some of her work who encouraged her to keep trying for her dream. After six years and over 30 rejections, she was able to sell Reckless Heart to a publisher (Leisure Books).
