Bestselling author Chuck Palahniuk was in an accident Friday morning when an out-of-control truck crashed into his car when he was attempting to pull out of his driveway.

The truck was rounding a curve too fast when he lost control of his trailer. The trailer tipped over and slid onto Palahniuk’s car as he was waiting to pull out of his driveway. The trailer hit the right side of Palahniuk’s Toyota Prius.

Fortunately, Palahniuk only suffered a sore neck and was not taken to the hospital after the accident.

“He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Trooper Ryan Tanner said.

The truck’s driver, 71-year-old William Farewell of Eugene, Ore., was not injured.

It appears the only causalities were Palahniuk’s car and Farewell’s trailer.

Palahniuk is the author of such books as Fight Club, Lullaby and Choke. Fight Club was adapted into the major motion picture of the same name, starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
