The Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan collection Jungle Tales of Tarzan will be adapted to the graphic novel format by Sequential Pulp Comics.

The graphic novel will be written by Martin Powell and will feature art by Pablo Marcos, Terry Beatty, Will Meugniot, Nik Poliwko, Antonio Romero Olmedo, Mark Wheatley, Diana Leto, Steven E. Gordon, Lowell Isaac, Tom Floyd and Jamie Chase. The stories will be as Burroughs wrote them, but with minor updates to put them into the 21st century.

Jungle Tales of Tarzan are character-driven, timeless adventure stories which I believe deserves to find a new and modern audience,” Powell said.

Sequential Pulp publisher Michael Hudson says that they plan to have it published by their partner, Dark Horse Comics. It should be on the shelves in early 2014.
