D.B.C. Pierre Synopses: Meanwhile in Dopamine City is a standalone novel by D.B.C. Pierre. It’s a big, bad world out there – in Dopamine City.

All Lonnie Cush wants is to protect his kids and keep life simple. But his spirited daughter, Shelby-Ann – the maddening apple of his eye – has other plans. She wants her first smartphone.

Soon, the digital age comes hurtling toward 37 Palisade Row, changing everything at lightning speed. As Shelby-Ann disappears into a glowing new universe, Lonnie faces a stark choice: adapt to this brave new world or be left behind by it.

In a city wired for pleasure and built on addiction, Dopamine City asks what it means to stay human when reality itself is up for download.

Lights Out in Wonderland is a standalone title by D.B.C. Pierre. Gabriel Brockwell, a disillusioned young philosopher and self-proclaimed decadent, has decided that his life’s final act should be one of beauty and excess. With his mind set on self-destruction, he embarks on a surreal, hedonistic odyssey that spans continents – London to Tokyo, Berlin to the Galapagos Islands – in search of the ultimate experience.

From a stint in rehab to a near-fatal brush with fugu ovaries, from bizarre encounters in the underworld of pleasure to an extravagant feast deep beneath Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport, his journey becomes a twisted pilgrimage of indulgence and revelation.

As his pursuit of transcendence collides with the absurdity of the modern world, Gabriel must confront what it means to live – and to die – in an age addicted to sensation.

Vernon Little God by D.B.C. Pierre is a standalone novel. In the small Texas town of Martirio – proudly known as the barbecue sauce capital of Central Texas – fifteen-year-old Vernon Little finds himself at the center of a nightmare. Sitting in jail in nothing but his sneakers and underwear, he’s accused of complicity in a horrific school shooting committed by his only friend, who took his own life afterward.

As the grieving town searches for someone to blame, a media circus descends, hungry for scandal and spectacle. Reporters, opportunists, and vengeful locals twist the story until Vernon becomes the perfect villain. Manipulated by a cunning television journalist, he’s swept up in a grotesque parody of justice and fame.

Caught between outrage and absurdity, Vernon clings to his innocence and his belief that life – like the movies – must somehow end happily.
