If You Like Diane Duane Books, You’ll Love…
Diane Duane has also written numerous Star Trek novels. One popular book is Doctor’s Orders. Dr. McCoy has been complaining about the way Kirk runs things and, when Kirk goes on a diplomatic mission, McCoy gets left in charge. The doctor enjoys his command at first, but when Kirk goes missing he finds that the pressures that go with being a captain in Starfleet are many.
So You Want to Be a Wizard is the first book in the Young Wizards series. The book sees a young girl named Nita in the library one day when she finds a unique book. It looks like one of those career books like “So You Want to Be a Pilot” or “So You Want to Be a Scientist”, but this one is different. This one is called “So You Want to Be a Wizard”. She’s not sure it’s real, but the book has a list of requirements and duties of a wizard that she fits. So she applies and successfully passes the tests, what comes next will change everything.
