As the world teeters on the brink of nuclear war in October 1962, President Kennedy and Soviet Premier Khrushchev seek a covert path to negotiation – one that leads to Margo Jensen, a brilliant young Black student at Cornell. Unaware of the full danger, Margo is thrust into a global game of espionage, sent behind the Iron Curtain as a secret emissary whose very presence could change history. From whispered secrets in Curaçao to tense maneuverings at sea, Margo’s journey is as much about global survival as it is about uncovering truths buried deep within her own family.
