“The Hunger Games” Now Officially a Film Quadrilogy
After much speculation, Lionsgate has made the decision to split the final Hunger Games book into two films.
“Mockingjay Part 1” is going to be released November 21, 2014, while “Mockingjay Part 2” will be released on November 20, 2015.
This should come as no surprise, as both Twilight and Harry Potter‘s finales were made into two movies to maximize profits. It’s the thing to do with these insanely popular YA fiction series, apparently.
Actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will all participate in the films as expected.
