Bruce Willis appears to be tapped to star in the new adaptation of Vince Flynn‘s American Assassin. The film will be directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. The plot summary is as follows:

CBS Films has purchased the rights to Vince Flynn‘s second latest Mitch Rapp novel, American Assassin. After losing a loved one in a terrorist attack, Mitch Rapp decides to become a spy in order to fight terrorism. The book is a prequel in the Mitch Rapp series.

Kill Shot, the latest book in the Mitch Rapp series, is now available for pre-order. American Assassin was the 11th book in the Mitch Rapp series, and took place prior to any of the other Mitch Rapp books, covering Mitch Rapps entry to the CIA, and his first mission.
