Tamara Berry Synopses: Murder Runs in the Family is the first Amber Winslow book by Tamara Berry. Former PI-in-training Amber Winslow makes a midnight escape from her troubled life and heads to Arizona, seeking refuge in her estranged grandmother’s upscale retirement community, Seven Ponds – a place she doesn’t qualify for and definitely can’t afford.
On the night she arrives, longtime resident George “the Admiral” Vincent turns up dead, his prized pet tortoise missing, and rumors swirl about a stolen family heirloom. All eyes quickly turn to Amber’s eccentric Grandma Jade as the prime suspect. Determined to prove the woman who welcomed her so warmly is innocent, Amber dives into the mystery – even if it means exposing secrets the residents of Seven Ponds would rather keep buried.
Buried in a Good Book by Tamara Berry is the first book in the By the Book Mysteries series. Bestselling thriller writer Tess Harrow retreats to her grandfather’s remote cabin with her teenage daughter, hoping to reset after a messy divorce. But their first day is cut short – literally – when an explosion rains fish guts and a severed human arm from the sky.
Now, Tess is caught in a real-life murder mystery, complete with Bigfoot sightings, grumpy locals, and a sheriff who bears an uncanny resemblance to her fictional detective. As bodies pile up and her daughter grows disturbingly fascinated with the crime scene, Tess must channel her writing expertise to catch a killer – and survive a summer that’s anything but relaxing.
Séances are for Suckers is book 1 in the Eleanor Wilde series by Tamara Berry. Ellie’s ghost-hunting gig is usually just smoke, mirrors, and enough cash to support her ailing sister – but her latest job at a remote English estate might finally put her skepticism to the test. Hired by the aloof yet oddly charming Nicholas Hartford III to investigate mysterious disturbances blamed on a ghost named Xavier, Ellie expects little more than drafty rooms and dramatic guests.
But when a corpse turns up – and then vanishes – she realizes something more than prankish spirits is haunting Castle Hartford. With her knack for misdirection and her sharp instincts, Ellie must untangle a web of secrets, lies, and perhaps even murder… before the next guest disappears for good.
