The Stephen King movie adaptations just keep coming! Stephen King’s novel It is going to be receiving a new adaptation, this time on the big screen and in two parts. The films will be directed by Cary Fukunaga, who directed Jane Eyre. The screenplay will be written by Fukunaga and Chase Palmer.

We recently posted about the possible redevelopment of Arthur Conan Doyle’s former home, Undershaw. Well, it turns out that the high court has determined that the house will not be up for redevelopment. The plan was to convert the house into eight separate houses.

The Brevard County Library system in Florida had pulled the Fifty Shades trilogy from its shelves because, after reading reviews (not the books themselves!), they were deemed “semi-pornographic.” However, due to public demand, the libraries have changed their tune and are now going to allowing the Fifty Shades books onto their shelves after all.

Terry Pratchett has won a unique award for his 50th novel, Snuff. The award is the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction. His work was referred to as “consistently funny with an acute, satirical view of the world.”

Paramount has re-titled the upcoming Jack Reacher moving starring Tom Cruise. Originally, it was to be titled “One Shot,” which is the title of the novel by Lee Child. Instead, it will be called “Jack Reacher.”
