Alexander Freed is an American author best known as the author of the Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron series.
In addition to his work as an author, Freed has also served as a game designer, novelist, comic book writer, and editor. He was previously part of the writing staff at video game developer BioWare. He has worked at multiple other gaming companies, including Archetype Entertainment, DICE, Kabam, Obsidian Entertainment, Stoic, Fogbank Entertainment, and WB Games Montreal. His first full-length novel was Star Wars: Battlefront: Twilight Company.

Battlefront: Twilight Company takes place as the Galactic Civil War is still raging on. The charge is lead by the soldiers of the Sixty-First Mobile Infantry, better known as Twilight Company. The renegade group always seems to defy the most deadly of odds. Orders come down for them to fall back and they comply. Then an ally changes the strategy and the Twilight Company has the chance to turn their retreat into a resurgence. They’ll make their boldest move yet as they try to strike at the heart of the Empire’s military machine.
