Amanda Gorman is an American poet and author. She is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. Amanda was the first Youth Poet Laureate of the United States. Her poetry and writings focus on issues such as oppression, feminism, race, marginalization, and people of African descent in the United States. She read her poem The Hill We Climb at Joe Biden’s January 2021 inauguration, becoming the youngest poet to that honour.
