Ashley Poston is an American writer who is best known for her original series, Once Upon A Con. The series has drawn raves for its geeky, relatable characters.
Ashley enjoys many things that some people might consider nerdy. When she’s not writing she can often be found playing Dungeons and Dragons and writing fan fiction. During her time in college at the University of South Carolina, she probably did more playing video games and writing fanfic than studying. She still lives in South Carolina with her cat.

Geekerella is the first book in the Once Upon A Con series and is a convention take on the classic fairy tale of Cinderella. The book sees geek girl Elle Wittimer as a diehard fan of Starfield, a sci-fi television series, entering a cosplay contest for the show. The prize is a trip to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball and a chance to meet a young actor who is playing him in the remake. Elle is determined to win this contest, but her evil stepsisters have their own designs on winning. The actor from the show, Darien Freeman, is a huge fan of the show and this is his dream job, but everyone thinks he’s a fake taken by the studio for his looks. The two find themselves on a collision course to prove that they belong at this Con.
The second book in the series is called The Princess and the Fangirl. The book sees a young girl named Imogen who loves watching Starfield and really loves the character of Princess Amara who is scheduled to be killed off. Imogen will do anything to stop this, but Jessica Stone is the actress who plays her and she’d love to get away from this world of fandom. A chance meeting sees the two women, who look quite alike, to come to an agreement where they can both get what they want.
