Order of Beverly Jenkins Books
Beverly Jenkins is an American author of historical and contemporary romance novels. Her novels feature African-American characters and are often set in periods that are often overlooked. This didn’t make it any easy for her to get published, as publishers were only looking for historical African-American novels to be set during slavery. She writes the Blessings series. Beverly was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Cass Technical High School and then majored in Journalism and English Literature at Michigan State University. She lives with her family in Southeastern Michigan.
Beverly Jenkins made her debut as a published novelist in 1994 with the novel Night Song. Below is a list of Beverly Jenkins’ books in order of when they were originally released:

Beverly Jenkins Synopsis: Through the Storm is a standalone title by Beverly Jenkins. Sable, a slave on the run to escape her cruel supposed “owner,” is forced to betray the handsome Union officer Raimond LeVeq – a man who had both romanced her and championed her. Brought together again by fate and an arranged marriage, she must try and earn the trust of LeVeq – who she truly loves.
I agree! The order you put them in is the chronologic order and do well to read that way.
What I want to know is the characters and how they fit into other stories:
Like “Preacher” Ian Vance (Bigelow)
1. The Taming of Jessi Rose
2. Something Like Love
3. Night Hawk
Does anyone have that analysis for all her major characters? Because she has the Rhine character meet up with the LeVeq clan in Sable and Raimond’s story.
How many more of these 6 degrees of separation do we see in her stories? It might take a long time, but now I have to re-read all her stories and get ahold of those I don’t have and do the analysis (my statistics professor would be so proud…).
funny, im in search of the same thing… after u read so many books, names are familiar but titles can’t be recalled
I love all of Beverly Jenkins books have read ALL of them. I am a bit confused however with the order of the Le Veq series. I Know Thru the storm was published first but if you are going to present the books as a series ….. why not present them in the following order.
Captured
Thru the Storm
Winds of the Storm
Rebel
Captured is about the original Le Veq the privateer who got this family started. So why not start with it. I included “Rebel” in the grouping because it is about Drake who is brother to Raimond and Archer. And when will we get to read about Beau and Phillipe Le Veq?
