Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1885-1936) was an English author of mystery, fantasy, poetry and non-fiction. He is best known for his detective/priest character Father Brown. He is well known for his Christian and Catholic apologetics. He was born into the Church of England, but converted to Roman Catholicism when he was 48. Chesterton died of congestive heart failure at home. He was 62.
G.K. Chesterton became a published author with the poetry collection Greybeards at Play. His first novel was The Napoleon of Notting Hill, published in 1904. Below is a list of G.K. Chesterton’s books in order of when they were first published:
