The Girl From Everywhere refers to Nix, the daughter of a time traveler. She has spent the past sixteen years on her father’s ship traveling across the world and time. She’s seen and done it all, but her father has a plan that may end up costing her everything. He’s found a map that leads to 1868 Honolulu, the year before Nix’s mother died giving birth to her. Nix’s father wants to change the past and bring back his wife, but what will happen to Nix if he succeeds? Could it erase her?

Heilig is also the author of the Shadow Players series. That book kicks off with For a Muse of Fire where a young woman named Jetta has powers that she doesn’t quite understand. Jetta is a puppeteer who uses her powers to bind the souls of the recently departed to the puppets. No strings necessary, but she has to protect her secret as the old ways are forbidden. She gets passage on a royal ship to Aquitan were her shadow plays are quite popular. There she meets a smuggler who will force her to face truths about this world that she never imagined.
