If You Like Jim Harrison Books, You’ll Love…

Legends of the Fall is Harrison’s epic tale of three brothers fighting for justice in the world. The book takes place across the globe from early twentieth-century Montana to the battlefields of World War I and back to Montana. The book is famous for painting an portrait of the twentieth century man and the levels that he would go to when he felt his life or goal was threatened.

Another great book by Harrison is Dalva: A Novel. The book sees a woman named Dalva who grew up on the Nebraska prairie, but now lives in California. Even from California, she can hear the silence of her home and the memories of the son she gave up for adoption haunt her. At forty-five, she is haunted by her life and decides to return home with hopes of finding her family and the half-Sioux man she once loved. This book is one of Harrison’s most memorable as it explores a great family through the eyes of an unforgettable woman.
