Order of John Gardner Books
English author John Gardner took the reins of the James Bond series long after the death of series creator Ian Fleming. Gardner is actually the most prolific of the Bond authors, having contributed 16 novels to the series (including two novelizations).
Much like his predecessor Fleming, Gardner served in the Royal Navy (as well as the Royal Marines). He retired from writing the Bond series in 1996 and was replaced by Raymond Benson. Gardner passed away in 2007. A list of John Gardner’s James Bond novels in order of publication is below:
