Highland Gladiator is the first book in the Scots and Swords series. The story begins when Lor Careston’s Highland village is attacked and burned, which sets him out on a quest for revenge. He lacks the fighting skills though and seeks out the Ludus Caledonia—a mysterious fight guild that turns men into warriors. He trains hard with them and proves himself, earning himself a place within the clan that destroyed his home. He sets his plan to get revenge, but that plan doesn’t include Isabail Keith, a fiery lass that fights with the clan and has captured his attention. He thought this clan was his enemies, but when Isabel is in danger – he’ll have to decide how far he’ll go to protect her.
By the Unholy Hand is the first book in the Executioner Knights series. When a plot against the new king is hatched from Rome, William Marshall must call on a group of men who specialize in dark and dirty games – the Executioner Knights. Sir Maxton of Loxbeare is the leader and is set out to find the assassins. Maxton will meet Lady Andressa du Bose, a former heiress who was cheated out of her inheritance. Andressa is greatly attracted to him and unknowingly gives him a clue to who the assassins are. He’d normally do anything to complete his job, but there is something different with her. He’ll need to make a choice between giving in to his feelings for her and saving the king.
