E.L. James started her Fifty Shades of Grey series in a unique way. It started out as fan fiction based on the series Twilight. From there, it was published by The Writers’ Coffee Shop. When the ground swell really got underway, the publishing rights were purchased by Random House and the books were released in trade paperback format worldwide.

However, there has yet to be a hardcover release of the series… That is, until now. Random House has announced that they will be coming out with limited edition hardcover editions of all three books in this extremely popular series.

There is one catch – the Fifty Shades hardback editions will only be released in the United Kingdom. Those who are looking to purchase these limited edition hardcover versions of Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will have to head on over to Amazon.co.uk to make your purchase.

If you’re fanatical about the series, this is the best way to own your copy of the book with a nice solid cover. Get your copies today!

Update (09/05/12): The hardcover editions are now available!
