Hyperion Cantos is a series of science fiction novels by American author Dan Simmons. The series follows a group of travelers sent to the Time Tombs on the planet Hyperion. The story is told through the eyes of each of the travelers.

Dan Simmons is an American author of science fiction, horror, fantasy and mystery/thriller novels. He is best known for his Hyperion Cantos series. Dan got his Master’s in Education in 1971 and worked in the field for 18 years. Once he stopped teaching, he began his writing career.
