Focus Features has announced that writer/producer Kelly Marcel has been hired to work on the screenplay for Fifty Shades of Grey, the bestselling erotica novel by E.L. James. Among Marcel’s past work includes the Fox series Terra Nova and the film Saving Mr. Banks, set to star Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson.

Disney Publishing Worldwide has announced a 3.5 million copy first printing of the new novel The Mark of Athena from author Rick Riordan.
