Anna Pigeon is a fictional character in a series of mystery novels by American author Nevada Barr. Anna is a park ranger at the same time as being a detective. Each one of the Anna Pigeon books takes place in a new national park wherein Pigeon must solve a new mystery. Anna is a small middle-aged woman with long, grey hair that she keeps in a braid.
The Anna Pigeon novels started in 1993 with Track of the Cat in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Since then, Anna has been to the following national parks: Isle ROyale, Mesa Verde, Statue of Liberty, Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Yosemite, New Orleans Jazz, Natchez, Glen Canyon and others. The above list is the publication order of Anna Pigeon series but I know it isn’t the chronological since the book The Rope is the prequel and it is one of the last published. After The Rope do the books follow in the sequence that they were published?
track of the cat was the first anna pigeon the rope is a flashback to annas first assignment as a ranger u can read it first and then continue by order of publication seamlessly I enjoyed it as a flashback as I was introduced to her books by a park ranger at Yellowstone in 1999.
I read my first anna pigeon book ‘ Track Of The cat ‘ , I’m very excited about continuing the series .It took a Dec to get use to the writing but once I did….I was impressed
