C.J. Archer is a top selling author best known for writing historical fantasy novels. She is the author of the Freak House series, the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy, and the Glass and Steele series.
Archer has had a long time love of history and books, and through her writing has found a way to combine her two loves. Prior to her work as an author, C.J. held multiple jobs including working as a librarian, IT support person and technical writer. Archer makers her home in Melbourne, Australia with her husband and children.

The Cleopatra Fox Mysteries series begins with Murder at the Mayfair. This book takes place in 1899 and sees Cleopatra moving into the luxury hotel owned by her estranged uncle as she looks to put her past behind. However, a guest is poisoned on Christmas Eve which throws the hotel into chaos. Fox realizes no one can be trusted and sets out to solve it herself.
