C.S. O’Cinneide Synopses: In Petra’s Ghost by C.S. O’Cinneide, Daniel sets out on the Camino de Santiago carrying the ashes of his wife, Petra, and the burden of a secret he has never shared about her death. Hoping the ancient pilgrimage across northern Spain will bring him some measure of peace, he instead finds himself drawn into a journey that becomes increasingly unsettling.
Along the trail, Daniel meets Ginny, an outgoing young woman from California whose company offers a welcome distraction from his grief. As they continue their pilgrimage together, an unexplained presence begins to haunt their path. Strange events accumulate, and Daniel finds it harder to separate reality from the fears and memories that have followed him for years.
As the mysteries surrounding the trail deepen, Daniel is forced to confront truths he has tried to bury. Blending psychological suspense with supernatural uncertainty, Petra’s Ghost follows a man whose search for forgiveness becomes a descent into doubt, where the line between truth and self‑deception grows increasingly difficult to see.
In Eve’s Rib, Eve has spent years living with the consequences of a desperate choice she made long ago. Unable to have a child, she turned to the Ragman, a mysterious practitioner of dark magic, and her daughter Abbey was born soon afterward. Eighteen years later, Eve is haunted by the possibility that the bargain came at a terrible cost.
After the death of her young son in a tragic accident, Eve becomes convinced that something is deeply wrong with Abbey. Five years later, she is still struggling with grief, guilt, and the fear that her daughter may be connected to a series of disturbing events. Her husband, Richard, dismisses her concerns, unaware of the truth behind Abbey’s birth and carrying secrets of his own.
As misfortune begins to strike those who cross Abbey’s path, Eve is forced to confront both her past and the possibility that the darkness she invited into her life never truly left. To protect the people she loves, she must uncover the truth about her daughter, the Ragman, and the bargain that changed everything.
