If You Like David Chang Books, You’ll Love…

Eat a Peach: A Memoir: is the story of David Chang by the man himself. Chang opened up his first restaurant in 2004 after failing at almost every endeavor in his life. He wouldn’t know it at the time, but he would become one of the most influential chefs of his generation. He was driven by a singular question, “What if the underground could become the mainstream?” Chang grew up as the youngest of a religious Korean American family in Virginia. After college he found himself aimless and headed to Japan looking for a sense of belonging. It was here, after a full-blown manic episode, that he began to think that cooking and sharing food could be his purpose in life and give him agency over it.

Chang also penned Momofuku: A Cookbook which sees him share the story and recipes behind his phenomenon. The dishes shared in this book are beloved by all who have had them and just as delicious to make at home.
