Kathleen Barber is an American suspense writer who burst onto the scene with her debut novel, Are You Sleeping?. The book is being adapted by Apple as a ten-episode series starring Lizzie Caplan as the lead character. The series will be produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company.
Barber was born in raised in the small town of Galesburg, Illinois. After graduation from high school she would attend the University of Illinois before finishing up at the Northwestern School of Law. She practiced law for many years, practicing bankruptcy law at some high-profile law firms in Chicago. She is also a certified yoga instructor who enjoys the practice. Barber considers herself a wanderer and enjoys traveling the world with her husband.
