Lynn Austin is an American author known for writing the Refiner’s Fire series and the Chronicle of the Kings series.

Austin always wanted to write, but frequent traveling and her growing family delayed the start of her career. Her husband’s work took her to Colombia where she would work as a teacher, but then his work took them back to America and then to Canada. It was the long Canadian winters that made her make progress on her writing goals as there is not much else to do. She was able to resign from teaching in to write full-time and has never looked back since. She has won eight Christy Awards for excellence in Christian Fiction in her career.

Return to Me is the first book in the Restoration Chronicles series. The saga begins as Iddo has seen his children and grandchildren wander from their faith. Now, his prayers have been answered as King Cyrus is allowing God’s chosen people to return to Jerusalem. As he prepares for his return, he learns that his family wants to remain in the pagan culture of Babylon. Then his grandson Zechariah begins to hear the voice of God and is also encouraged to return to the land of Jerusalem.

Austin is also the author of the Chronicles of the Kings series that begins with Gods and Kings. The book tells the story of King Hezekiah, heir to the throne of King David. King David has put together an evil plot to sacrifice his son which sees his mother frantically searching to find a way to save his life. The only two men who can help her don’t seem very trustworthy and options are limited. The mother and son finds themselves in need of discovering the one true Source of strength if they hope to save themselves.
