Michael Z. Williamson is an American author of military science fiction novels. He writes the Freehold series. Michael was born in Birkenhead, England, and from there moved to various cities and towns in England, Canada, and the United States. When he was 18, he joined the USAF, with whom he toured the United States with. Besides reading and writing, Michael participates in historical re-enactments, forges blades, throws himself out of aircraft, climbs, hikes, does martial arts, and shoots guns and arrows.
