Dear Janet,
I have read about 6 of the Evan’s books and thoroughly enjoy them. Wales fascinates me as my wife of 58 years is Welsh. Pure she says! Her mother’s father was called Evan Evans too. She was born in Pontypridd (Home of the National Anthem) in 1943.
I am being picky here but there is an error in “Evan to Betsey”. You describe the Oxford Colleges as Built in Beautiful ‘Sandstone’. The buildings are in fct built in Limestone. Having done my degree in Geology in Oxford (’63 to’66) the colleges are built in Jurassic ‘Oolitic’ Limestone.
Your stories are superb and I love Betsey.
Take care

I just can not get enough of your books – I absolutely love them.
