Shaun Hutson is a British author best known for his work in the horror and crime genres. He is the author of the Sean Doyle series, the Slugs series, and the Track series. In addition to his own name, Hutson has published numerous books under a pen name.
Hutson is from Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire, England, but now makes his home in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. He began his writing career in the 1980s with the release of his first horror novel, The Skull. His book Slugs ended up becoming a film.
Spawn follows Harold Pierce who has spent most of his adult life in a psychiatric hospital. He ended up there after the death of his baby brother who died in a fire of Harold’s making. He didn’t mean to do it, but he has paid the price for it for all these years. The town they headed to for peace is being terrorized by a series of unexplained murder. The secret behind them has to do with a 50-year-old secret that is bursting to come out.
