Valérie Perrin is a French author who made her English language debut in 2020 with Fresh Water for Flowers. The book is a moving and lyrical portrait of one woman’s quest for happiness and love.

Perrin won the Booksellers Choice Award for her 2015 novel, The Forgotten Sunday. She also won the Maison de la Presse Prize and the Paperback Readers Prize for Fresh Water for Flowers. Valérie was born in 1967 in Remiremont, in the Vosges Mountains, France. She grew up in Burgundy before finally settling in Paris. In addition to his work as an author, Perrin also works as a photographer and screenwriter. She now makes her home in Normandy.
