Sue Ann Jaffarian began her Ghost of Granny Apples Mysteries in 2009 with the novel Ghost a la Mode. The series is currently ongoing. She was best known for her delicious apple pies and for murdering her husband, Jacob. That’s what history says, at least. In reality, Granny was framed and murdered. For over a century, the spirit of Granny Apples has been searching for the person who will help her clear her name. The person she chose is her descendant, Emma Whitecastle – a divorced mom. The two of them will work together in order to solve old mysteries, including the murder Granny supposedly committed back in the days of the Gold Rush.
