Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn has signed a new two-book deal with Random House. The deal entails a new adult novel for the Crown Publishing imprint as well as a young adult novel for Delacorte Press.

Gone Girl has been a huge hit since its release in June about a woman who disappears as she and her husband are celebrating their anniversary. 20th Century Fox already has the film rights and it will be produced by Reese Witherspoon (who may end up starring in it as well).

Crown Publishing’s publisher, Molly Stern, said that the new adult novel “will be in the tradition of her darkly brilliant and gripping previous books.”

No plot details for either book have been revealed.
