The book has a release date of September 27, 2012 in hardcover, large print hardcover, eBook and various audiobook formats (voiced by Tom Hollander). The pagecount is listed at 512 pages. J.K. Rowling may have hit the peak of her success with Harry Potter, but she still has high hopes for her first novel for adults, The Casual Vacancy. The title, along with a brief plot synopsis, was released Thursday by Little, Brown & Co.
