Candace Bushnell is an American novelist of chick lit novels. She is best known as the creator of Sex and the City. After working as a freelance journalist for many years, Bushnell start writing for a column called “Sex and the City” for The New York Observer, which was based on the dating lives of her and her friends. The columns were eventually collected and then adapted into the popular television series of the same name. Bushnell served as a producer on the show.
