Georgia Bockoven is an award-winning American author. She is best known for writing The Beach House series of books. The series began in 1997 with the release of The Beach House.

Bockoven grew up in an Army family which saw her traveling around quite a bit which instilled an early love of reading. She went to work as a phot journalist, but eventually made her way to writing fiction. Her first book was published in 1983 and she has since went on to sell over four million books worldwide. One her novels, A Marriage of Convenience, was turned into a CBS movie in October of 1998.
