Order of James Carlos Blake Books
James Carlos Blake is an American author of historical crime fiction and western novels. Blake was born in Mexico of American, English and Irish descent. He is descended from a British pirate who was executed in Mexico. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne, and then earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of South Florida, Tampa Bay, as well as his M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University. Prior to writing full-time in 1997, Blake mostly worked as a college instructor, but also worked as a snake-catcher, Volkswagen mechanic, pool maintenence man and county jail properties officer.
